THE EGO SELF: THE MEDIATOR

The Ego Self

The Mediator

How do you see yourself, and how does that influence the way you navigate life?

The Ego Self represents your identity and self-concept — how you understand who you are, interpret your experiences, and make sense of your place in the world.

Think of the Ego Self as the Mediator at your internal round table. It works to bring different perspectives together, make sense of competing needs, and determine how to move forward. It helps shape the story you tell yourself about who you are and the choices you believe align with that identity.

But what happens when the person you believe yourself to be conflicts with what you feel, what you want, or the direction your life is taking?

Understanding your Ego Self gives you an opportunity to examine the beliefs that guide your decisions, recognize patterns in how you respond to life, and question whether your current self-concept still serves you.

A Moment of Reflection

Are your decisions shaped by who you truly want to be, or by who you've always believed you had to be?

Take a moment to consider where your sense of identity guides you — and where it might be limiting you.
