THE COUNSELING

The Counseling Self

The Counselor

How do your feelings influence the way you experience life and make decisions?

The Counseling Self represents your emotional world — your feelings, needs, and sense of well-being. It brings attention to what matters to you beneath the surface and how your experiences affect you internally.

Think of the Counseling Self as the Counselor at your internal round table. While other parts of you may focus on identity, direction, or taking action, the Counselor asks you to consider how you feel, what you need, and whether the path you're taking is truly sustainable for you.

Your feelings aren't always instructions, but they can offer valuable information. Learning to recognize them can help you understand your reactions, identify unmet needs, and make choices that account for more than logic alone.

A Moment of Reflection

Are you giving yourself permission to feel what you feel, or have you learned to put your emotions aside to keep moving forward?

Take a moment to consider what your emotions might be telling you — and whether you've been giving them the attention they deserve.
